Description

A delightful dessert that combines ultra-moist tres leches cake with a crunchy, fruity twist, featuring layers of creamy milk and fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup of crushed cookies (like vanilla wafers or graham crackers)
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vanilla cake according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Let it cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Mix until well blended.
  3. Poke holes in the cooled cake with a fork and pour the milk mixture evenly over the cake. Allow it to soak in.
  4. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully absorb the milks.
  5. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the chilled cake.
  7. Combine crushed cookies with melted butter and mix well until coated.
  8. Sprinkle the cookie mixture generously on top of the whipped cream.
  9. Top with diced strawberries to add color and flavor.
