Steak fajitas are a vibrant and flavorful Tex-Mex dish featuring marinated flank steak, colorful bell peppers, and onions, wrapped in warm tortillas.

- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- Tortillas, for serving
Instructions
- Combine lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade. Add flank steak and coat thoroughly. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place marinated flank steak in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and let rest.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onion to the same skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Slice the rested steak into thin strips against the grain.
- Serve the sliced steak with sautéed veggies and warm tortillas, allowing everyone to build their own fajitas.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the steak for several hours or overnight if possible.
