Spooky Spider Web Guacamole Halloween Snack

Spooky Spider Web Guacamole Halloween Snack

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Diet: Keto, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe Hass avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/3 cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • 1–2 plastic toy spiders (for garnish)
  • Black tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the avocados in half and removing the pits. Scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Use a fork or a potato masher to crush the avocados until they reach your desired consistency—some prefer it chunky, while others like it smooth. Immediately stir in the lime juice to prevent browning. Add the diced red onion, fresh cilantro, minced garlic, salt, and cumin. Mix everything thoroughly until the seasonings are well distributed throughout the mash.
  2. Transfer the prepared guacamole into a shallow, circular serving bowl or onto a deep plate. Use the back of a large spoon or an offset spatula to smooth the top of the guacamole. It is important to create a flat, even surface so your spider web design looks crisp and professional. Wipe the edges of the bowl with a paper towel to ensure a clean presentation.
  3. Place your sour cream into a small piping bag or a plastic sandwich bag with a tiny corner snipped off. Starting from the center of the guacamole, pipe 4 or 5 concentric circles of sour cream, spacing them about an inch apart. Take a toothpick or the tip of a knife and place it in the center circle. Drag the toothpick outward toward the edge of the bowl. Repeat this motion 8 to 10 times around the circle to create the “web” effect. Finally, place a plastic spider on top to complete the look.
