Description

A delightful combination of savory sausage and sweet French toast in a fun roll-up format, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 4 sausages
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
  2. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin. Place a cooked sausage on one end and roll it up tightly, seam-side down.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  4. Heat butter in the skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and place seam-side down in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Notes

Serve hot with maple syrup and fresh fruit. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or frozen for up to a month.
