- 4 sausages
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp butter
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.
- Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin. Place a cooked sausage on one end and roll it up tightly, seam-side down.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Heat butter in the skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and place seam-side down in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Notes
Serve hot with maple syrup and fresh fruit. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or frozen for up to a month.
