Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for lemon dill sauce)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for lemon dill sauce)
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill (for lemon dill sauce)
- Salt and pepper to taste (for lemon dill sauce)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, eggs, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties, about the size of your palm, ensuring they hold together well.
- Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- For the lemon dill sauce, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well blended. Serve the patties hot with the lemon dill sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
If using fresh salmon, ensure it’s cooked through before flaking. For gluten-free, substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour.
