- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
- Combine flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix until crumbly, then press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Place the crust in the oven and parbake for about 15 minutes or until slightly golden.
- Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla in a separate bowl until combined. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Remove the crust from the oven and pour the pecan filling over it.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until filling is set but slightly wobbly.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into 24 squares.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or coffee.
