Description

Delightful Pecan Pie Bars combine classic flavors of pecan pie in a convenient handheld form, perfect for gatherings or as an after-dinner treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Combine flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix until crumbly, then press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Place the crust in the oven and parbake for about 15 minutes or until slightly golden.
  4. Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla in a separate bowl until combined. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven and pour the pecan filling over it.
  6. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until filling is set but slightly wobbly.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into 24 squares.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or coffee.
