Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until well coated.
  3. Combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, and chopped nuts in another bowl, stirring until mixed.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish and top with the oat mixture.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and oats are golden brown.
  6. Let the snack cool slightly before serving, warm or cooled completely for a portable snack.
