- 1 box orange cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup orange soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- Orange zest for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven as directed on the cake mix box and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Combine the orange cake mix, eggs, and water in a large bowl. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to the cake mix box directions.
- Cool the baked cake for about 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the surface with a fork.
- Mix the sweetened condensed milk and orange soda together, then pour over the warm cake.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to set.
- Whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, then fold in the whipped topping.
- Spread the cream mixture over the top of the chilled cake and garnish with fresh orange zest.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
