Description
A refreshing treat that beautifully combines the tropical sweetness of ripe mangoes with the creamy tang of yogurt, perfect for warm days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom (optional)
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- Start by peeling and dicing the mangoes. Ensure they are fully ripe for the sweetest flavor. Measure out the yogurt, sugar, water, cardamom, and lime juice.
- In a blender, combine the diced mangoes with yogurt, sugar, water, cardamom (if using), and lime juice. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Pour the blended mixture into a shallow dish. Place it in the freezer and let it freeze for about 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, take the sorbet out of the freezer and scrape it with a fork to create a fluffy texture. Return it to the freezer for another 120-180 minutes, or until it is fully firm.
- Serve the mango lassi sorbet by scooping it into bowls, and enjoy the deliciously creamy texture!
Notes
Garnish with mint leaves or drizzle with honey for added sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
