Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Salmon

Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Salmon

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Diet: Low-Carb

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional for color)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel to ensure the seasoning sticks properly. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top and sides of each fillet. Top each piece of salmon with a slice of lemon for extra zest and a beautiful presentation.
  2. Slide the baking sheet into the center rack of your preheated oven. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is done when it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. If you prefer a slightly charred or crispy top, you can turn on the broiler for the last 2 minutes of cooking. Watch it closely to prevent the garlic from burning. Remove the tray from the oven once the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  3. Let the salmon rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute. Sprinkle the fresh chopped parsley over the fillets to add a pop of color and freshness. If there is any remaining butter sauce on the baking sheet, drizzle it over the fish before plating. Serve immediately alongside your favorite sides like roasted asparagus, fluffy quinoa, or a crisp green salad.
