Juicy Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Juicy Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steak Bites

  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Diet: Low-carb

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin steak, Ribeye, or New York Strip, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the steak dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is the secret to getting a good sear in the air fryer. Cut the steak into uniform 1-inch cubes so they cook evenly. In a large mixing bowl, toss the steak bites with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until every piece is well-coated. While the meat marinates for a few minutes, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the seasoned steak bites into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary to ensure the air can circulate freely. Slide the basket in and cook at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, give the basket a good shake to flip the pieces. For medium-rare, aim for 6 minutes; for medium-well, go closer to 8 or 9 minutes.
  3. While the steak is cooking, whisk together the melted butter, minced fresh garlic, and parsley in a small bowl. Once the steak bites are done, immediately transfer them to a clean bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss gently to coat. Let the steak rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute. Garnish with more fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
