Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 gallon lime sherbet
- 2 liters lemon-lime soda (chilled)
- 46 ounces pineapple juice (chilled)
- 1 drop neon green food coloring (optional, for extra vibrance)
- Purple sanding sugar (for glass rims)
- Corn syrup (to stick the sugar)
- Gummy worms and candy eyeballs for garnish
Instructions
- To give your punch a professional look, start by prepping your serving glasses. Place a small amount of corn syrup on one plate and purple sanding sugar on another. Dip the rim of each glass into the syrup, then immediately into the sugar. Set the glasses aside to dry for a few minutes so the “potion” border stays in place.
- In a large punch bowl or a decorative black cauldron, pour in the chilled pineapple juice and the lemon-lime soda. If you want a deeper, more radioactive green hue, add one or two drops of neon green food coloring. Stir gently with a long spoon to combine the liquids without losing too much carbonation.
- Just before serving, use an ice cream scoop to drop large dollops of lime sherbet onto the surface of the liquid. The sherbet will react with the soda to create a thick, frothy foam. Scatter gummy worms over the top and float a few candy eyeballs in the foam for a spooky finishing touch. Ladle the punch into your prepared glasses, ensuring everyone gets a bit of the creamy froth.
