High Protein Crispy Air Fryer Steak Bites with Garlic Herb Butter

High Protein Crispy Air Fryer Steak Bites with Garlic Herb Butter

  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Diet: High-Protein, Low-Carb

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Sirloin steak or Ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Start by patting the steak cubes dry with a paper towel. Removing excess moisture is the secret to getting a crispy exterior. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the steak bites with the oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss everything together until every piece of meat is evenly coated in the seasoning. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes to ensure it is piping hot before you start cooking.
  2. Place the seasoned steak bites into the air fryer basket in a single, even layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; if necessary, cook in two batches. Slide the basket in and cook at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, pull the basket out and give it a good shake to flip the pieces. For medium-rare, aim for 6 minutes; for medium-well, go the full 8 minutes.
  3. While the steak is cooking, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, and fresh parsley in a small bowl. Once the steak bites are finished, transfer them immediately to a clean bowl. Pour the garlic herb butter over the hot steak and toss gently until the butter coats every piece. Serve immediately while the butter is bubbly and the steak is hot. Garnish with an extra sprinkle of parsley if desired.
