High Protein Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats

High Protein Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Diet: High Protein

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla or cinnamon protein powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 medium apple, diced small
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Gather all your dry and wet ingredients. Dice your apple into small, uniform cubes to ensure you get a bit of fruit in every spoonful. In a wide-mouth mason jar or a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, protein powder, chia seeds, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mixing the dry ingredients first prevents the protein powder from clumping once you add the liquid.
  2. Pour in the almond milk, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup. Stir the mixture vigorously until all the protein powder is fully incorporated and no dry pockets remain. Fold in the diced apples gently. Secure the lid on your jar or cover your bowl with plastic wrap. Place the container in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though leaving it overnight produces the best, creamiest results as the oats and chia seeds absorb the liquid.
  3. In the morning, give the oats a quick stir. If the mixture is too thick, splash in an extra tablespoon of milk to reach your desired consistency. Top with a few fresh apple slices, an extra sprinkle of cinnamon, or a handful of crushed walnuts for added texture. Eat it straight from the jar or transfer it to a decorative bowl for a more formal breakfast experience.
