Description

A classic comfort dish that combines savory ground beef with creamy mushrooms and a rich sauce, served over pasta or rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, stirring occasionally. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mushroom mixture, stirring to combine. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to thicken.
  5. Lower the heat and mix in the sour cream, stirring until fully incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm over egg noodles or rice, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a complete meal, pair with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
