- 1 lb Boneless chicken thighs
- ½ cup Cornstarch
- ¼ cup Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 inch Ginger, grated
- 2–3 Dried chiles
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 cups Rice
- Steamed broccoli, to serve
Instructions
- Cut the boneless chicken thighs into bite-sized chunks. Marinate them in a delicious mixture of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Dredge the marinated chicken pieces in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the cornstarch-coated chicken until golden brown and crispy.
- Prepare the glaze in a separate pan by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, ginger, and dried chiles. Toss the fried chicken in the glaze until coated.
- Serve the General Tso’s Chicken over rice and steamed broccoli.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider oven-baking the chicken instead of frying. Adjust spiciness by varying the amount of dried chiles.
