Light and refreshing dessert featuring layers of fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and pound cake.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup pound cake, cubed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- Layer the cubed pound cake at the bottom of serving glasses.
- Add a layer of macerated strawberries on top of the pound cake, including some juice.
- Top with a generous layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers of cake, strawberries, and whipped cream until the glasses are filled.
- Drizzle extra strawberry juice on top if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
