Description

Light and refreshing dessert featuring layers of fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and pound cake.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup pound cake, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Layer the cubed pound cake at the bottom of serving glasses.
  3. Add a layer of macerated strawberries on top of the pound cake, including some juice.
  4. Top with a generous layer of whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers of cake, strawberries, and whipped cream until the glasses are filled.
  6. Drizzle extra strawberry juice on top if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
