Ingredients

  • 4 Banana peppers
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Slice the banana peppers in half and remove the seeds.
  2. Mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl. Dip each banana pepper half first into the egg, then into the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the coated banana peppers until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Drain the fried banana peppers on paper towels and serve warm.
