Description

A delightful fusion of creamy texture and spicy flavor, this Creamy Gochujang Tomato Pasta features a rich sauce that combines the sweetness of tomatoes with the heat of gochujang.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Once it reaches al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Stir in the diced tomatoes and gochujang, cooking for about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, mixing until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it is well coated with the creamy sauce, then remove from heat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

For added texture, consider mixing in sautéed vegetables. Adjust the spice level of gochujang per preference.
