- 1 lb Italian sausage, browned
- 4 medium Yukon gold potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Crispy bacon, for topping
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown the Italian sausage over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the diced potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then let it simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese, combine well and serve hot topped with crispy bacon and fresh parsley.
Notes
For a spicier kick, try using spicy Italian sausage. Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
