Description
A delightful dish that marries tender chicken with creamy macaroni and cheese, elevated with a hint of honey and pepper.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Start by cooking the macaroni according to the package instructions. Once it’s al dente, drain and set it aside.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 7-8 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the cream, honey, and black pepper. Stir these ingredients together thoroughly and let them simmer for a couple of minutes, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.
- Slice the cooked chicken into pieces and return it to the skillet, mixing it with the honey cream sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with the shredded cheddar cheese until the cheese is melted and creamy. Serve the macaroni on a plate, generously topped with the creamy honey pepper chicken.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to restore creaminess.
