Description

A timeless and comforting dish combining tender egg noodles, hearty tuna, and a creamy sauce topped off with melted cheese and a crunchy breadcrumb layer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, frozen peas, milk, black pepper, onion powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles into the tuna mixture and pour into a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

For a crunchier topping, broil the casserole for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Use different cheeses or add more vegetables for variation.
