Description

A delightful dessert that captures the essence of autumn with warm spices, juicy apples, and a moist crumb.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup streusel topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped apples and nuts if using. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and sprinkle with streusel topping if desired.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
