Description

A stunning meringue dessert that is light, airy, and perfect for celebrating the holidays, adorned with fresh cream and festive berries.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add the granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in vanilla extract, white vinegar, and cornstarch.
  4. Spoon the meringue onto the baking sheet, forming a circle with an indentation in the center. Bake for 1 hour, then cool in the oven.
  5. Once cool, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  6. Spread the whipped cream over the pavlova and top with mixed berries. Garnish with mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure your bowl and mixer are completely clean. Use fresh eggs for better volume.
