Description
Delightful and indulgent, these Chocolate Covered Banana Pops are a fun and tasty treat that combines the natural sweetness of bananas with rich, melted chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- Popsicle sticks
- Sprinkles or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each half, ensuring it’s firmly in place for handling later.
- Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely smooth and glossy.
- Dip each banana half into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat it well. Let any excess chocolate drip off before proceeding.
- If desired, roll the chocolate-covered bananas in sprinkles or chopped nuts for an extra burst of flavor and texture.
- Place the finished pops on a parchment-lined baking sheet and transfer to the freezer. Freeze for at least 2 hours, or until solid.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Use ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture.
