Description

Delicious no-bake truffles combining sweet, tangy cherries with a chocolatey exterior, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup cherry-flavored candy or maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup crushed peanuts
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and cherry candy or chopped cherries in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the powdered sugar gradually until a dough-like consistency forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
  7. Roll the truffles in crushed peanuts before the chocolate sets.
  8. Allow the chocolate to harden, then store in an airtight container.

Notes

Serve at parties or as a sweet surprise in lunchboxes. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
