- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup cherry-flavored candy or maraschino cherries, chopped
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup crushed peanuts
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk and cherry candy or chopped cherries in a mixing bowl.
- Add the powdered sugar gradually until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Roll the truffles in crushed peanuts before the chocolate sets.
- Allow the chocolate to harden, then store in an airtight container.
