Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
  4. Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  5. Layer the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
  6. Top with the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
