Caramel Apple Milkshake

Caramel Apple Milkshake

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large scoops high-quality vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (cold)
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and finely diced
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons crushed graham crackers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Sauté the Apples – Place a small skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the finely diced apples and a pinch of cinnamon. Sauté the apples for about 4 to 5 minutes until they are tender but not mushy. Remove from heat and let them cool for a few minutes. This step ensures the apple flavor is concentrated and the texture blends perfectly into the shake.
  2. Step 2: Combine Ingredients in the Blender – Add the vanilla bean ice cream, cold milk, caramel sauce, and the remaining ground cinnamon into your blender. Pour in the sautéed apple mixture. If you prefer a very smooth shake, blend the apples thoroughly. If you enjoy small bits of fruit, pulse the blender a few times until the desired consistency is reached.
  3. Step 3: Blend to Perfection – Start the blender on a low speed to break up the ice cream, then increase to high for about 15 to 20 seconds. You want the mixture to be thick, uniform, and creamy. If the shake is too thick, add an extra splash of milk. If it is too thin, add another scoop of ice cream and pulse again.
  4. Step 4: Prepare the Glasses and Serve – Drizzle a generous amount of caramel sauce around the inside walls of two tall glasses. Pour the milkshake into the prepared glasses. Top each serving with a large dollop of whipped cream, an extra drizzle of caramel, and a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers or cinnamon. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
