Caramel Apple Bar Party Setup Fall Snack

Caramel Apple Bar Party Setup Fall Snack

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6–8 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
  • 2 cups store-bought or homemade caramel sauce
  • 1 cup melting chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (mixed with 2 cups water)
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/4 cup festive sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all your apples thoroughly. Slice them into thick wedges, removing the core. Immediately soak the slices in a bowl of cold water mixed with lemon juice for about 5 minutes. This prevents the apples from turning brown while they sit on the serving platter. After soaking, pat them completely dry with a paper towel so the caramel sticks properly.
  2. Heat your caramel sauce in a small slow cooker on the low setting or in a microwave-safe bowl. If using the microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Melt your chocolate chips in a separate bowl using the same method. Transfer the warm dips to small crocks or heat-resistant bowls that will sit at the start of your assembly line.
  3. Place each topping into a small, individual bowl. Arrange them in a logical order, starting with the crunchy items like nuts and pretzels, followed by smaller items like sprinkles and chocolate chips. Small spoons should be placed in each bowl to make it easy for guests to scoop the toppings over their drizzled apples.
  4. Lay out a large platter for the dried apple slices. Place the skewers nearby so guests can poke a stick into an apple wedge for easy dipping. Position the caramel and chocolate dips at the front, followed by the row of toppings. Provide small plates or parchment paper squares so guests have a clean surface to build their snacks on.
