A nostalgic treat that combines creamy bananas and crunchy vanilla wafers in a refreshing homemade ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and mash them thoroughly in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas with the cream mixture and stir well.
  4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. During the last few minutes of churning, add the crushed vanilla wafers to the ice cream.
  6. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours until firm.

Notes
