Description

A delightful Banana Walnut Cream Cake combining the natural sweetness of ripe bananas with crunchy walnuts, topped with luscious whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla and mashed bananas.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the banana mixture, stirring until just blended. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
  5. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Once the cake is cool, spread the whipped cream generously over the top.
