Description

A simple and delicious Margherita pizza topped with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add warm water gradually and knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  6. Spread olive oil on the dough and layer with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
  7. Top with fresh basil leaves.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  9. Slice and serve hot!

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, use a pizza stone preheated in the oven.
