Description
A vibrant and flavorful sauce that elevates grilled chicken, pasta, and seafood with bright citrus notes and capers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (cut into 1/2-inch cubes, cold)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup Dry white wine (such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
- 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Capers (drained and roughly chopped)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp Salt (or to taste)
- 1/8 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground, or to taste)
Instructions
- Start by measuring out all your ingredients. Cube the cold unsalted butter and mince the garlic.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add a couple of tablespoons of butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Next, pour in the dry white wine and bring it to a gentle simmer. Let it reduce by half for about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the cold cubes of butter until emulsified.
- Once all the butter is incorporated, stir in the fresh lemon juice, chopped capers, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Serve the Zesty Lemon Caper Butter Sauce immediately drizzled over your favorite dishes.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
