Description
Delightful homemade Pop-Tarts filled with luscious wildberry jam and topped with a light glaze.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold, cubed butter
- 1/4 cup cold water
- wildberry jam
- 1 beaten egg for egg wash
- powdered sugar for glazing
- a splash of milk for glazing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water gradually, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut the dough into rectangles, about 3 x 4 inches.
- Place a spoonful of wildberry jam on half of the rectangles.
- Moisten the edges with water and place the remaining rectangles on top.
- Seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool the Pop-Tarts, then mix powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over them.
Notes
Ensure butter is very cold for a flaky crust. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
