Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let the cookies cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
