Description

A flavorful twist on the classic green bean casserole with garlic and herbs, perfect for Thanksgiving.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk, then mix with the green bean mixture.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and top with French fried onions.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding grated cheese on top. Fresh herbs can also be used instead of dried ones.
