- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped caramel candies until evenly distributed. Drop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Sprinkle granulated sugar on top of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
- Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar topping until golden.
- Cool slightly before serving to allow the sugar to harden.
Notes
Make sure butter is softened, not melted, for the best texture. Cookies can also be frozen for longer storage.
