Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water or milk to a boil.
- Stir in the rolled oats, turmeric, cinnamon, and salt.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal is thickened and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if using. Serve hot, topped with chopped almonds and fresh fruit if desired.
Notes
For a vegan version, use non-dairy milk. Feel free to customize sweetness and add toppings as desired.
