- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup truffle oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Breadcrumbs for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Add the sharp cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Stir in the truffle oil and then mix in the cooked macaroni. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs if desired. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top. Serve warm and enjoy your decadent Truffle Mac and Cheese.
Notes
Serve with fresh parsley or additional truffle oil for extra flavor. Great with a side salad or sautéed vegetables.
