A delightful Tomato and Mozzarella Tart with a flaky puff pastry base and fresh ingredients, perfect for weeknight dinners or casual get-togethers.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 200g mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet and prick it all over with a fork.
  3. Layer the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Let cool slightly and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
  6. Slice and serve warm.
