Description

Delicious and light strawberry glazed pastries perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine water and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Add flour and salt, stirring continuously until a cohesive ball of dough forms.
  3. Remove from heat and let dough cool for 5 minutes before incorporating eggs one at a time.
  4. Pipe dough into desired shapes, fry in heated vegetable oil until golden brown, then drain and glaze.

Notes

Store crullers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze without glaze for up to 1 month.
