Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine water and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Add flour and salt, stirring continuously until a cohesive ball of dough forms.
- Remove from heat and let dough cool for 5 minutes before incorporating eggs one at a time.
- Pipe dough into desired shapes, fry in heated vegetable oil until golden brown, then drain and glaze.
Notes
Store crullers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze without glaze for up to 1 month.
