- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup crushed strawberries
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. In a separate bowl, mix crushed strawberries, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth. Pour over the chocolate batter and top with remaining batter.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped nuts on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or refrigerate for longer storage.
