Description
A luscious blend of cream cheese and whipped cream layered over a crunchy graham cracker crust, topped with fresh strawberries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup strawberry sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a springform pan, creating a solid crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. Begin folding in the whipped cream gently, ensuring you maintain its light and airy texture.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled graham cracker crust. Use a spatula to smooth the top evenly, ensuring every mouthful will have that delightful cheesecake filling.
- Generously top the cheesecake with sliced strawberries. If you’re using strawberry sauce, drizzle it over the strawberries for an extra pop of flavor. Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until it’s fully set.
Notes
For an elegant touch, add a dollop of whipped cream on top of each slice. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
