  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and strawberry puree.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, alternating with whole milk, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
