Description

Festive and fun cake pops celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, easy to make and customizable with colorful candy melts and sprinkles.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix
  • Eggs (as called for on the cake mix box)
  • Oil (as called for on the cake mix box)
  • Water (as called for on the cake mix box)
  • 1 cup of frosting
  • Candy melts or chocolate for coating
  • Green sprinkles for decorating
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the box instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add frosting to the mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Insert lollipop sticks into each ball and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the candy melts or chocolate according to package instructions.
  7. Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, letting the excess drip off.
  8. Decorate with green sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  9. Allow the decorated cake pops to set before serving.

Notes

Store leftover cake pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
