Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add the sourdough discard, warm water, and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each piece into a bun.
- Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover them and let rise for 30 minutes.
- While the buns are rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices. Use bread flour for a chewier texture.
