Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl and combine with the creamed mixture until a dough forms.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks before enjoying.
Notes
For chewier cookies, slightly underbake or use bread flour. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
