- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Buttercream frosting (for filling)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract into the butter-sugar mixture. Gradually blend in the dry mixture until fully incorporated.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten the balls gently until they are about 1/4 inch thick.
- Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until light golden.
- Let cookies cool on wire racks.
- Spread buttercream frosting on one cookie and sandwich it with another cookie.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best texture and don’t over-mix the dough.
