Description

Delicious Snickerdoodle Apple Pie Bars combine classic snickerdoodle flavor with juicy apples in a soft buttery crust. Perfect for gatherings or as a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth; beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Toss diced apples with lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  6. Pour half the batter into the baking dish, layer with apple mixture, then dollop remaining batter on top.
  7. Mix sugar and cinnamon for the topping, sprinkle over batter.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the baking dish before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
