Description

Delicious pinwheels combining tender chicken, creamy cheese, and smoky BBQ flavors rolled in soft tortillas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp red onion (finely diced, optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped, optional)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas (1012 inch diameter)

Instructions

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. If you haven’t done so yet, shred the cooked chicken breast and let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for easier mixing.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the shredded chicken, cream cheese, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, cilantro, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Use a fork or spatula to thoroughly combine all the ingredients until you have a creamy and well-mixed filling.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the BBQ chicken mixture onto the center of the tortilla, spreading it out evenly but leaving space at the edges. Roll the tortilla tightly from one end to the other, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.
  4. After rolling all the tortillas, slice each pinwheel into bite-sized pieces about 1 inch wide. If you prefer a warm version, preheat your oven to 375°F and place the sliced pinwheels on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until heated through and slightly crispy. Alternatively, you can air fry them at 375°F for about 5-7 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pair them with extra BBQ sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
